MASTODON To Be Profiled On FUSE 'Uranium' TV Special
June 30, 2005MASTODON will be profiled on the Fuse network's "Uranium" program with a half hour prime time TV special. Titled "Uranium: Mastodon", the Fuse special will document the Atlanta quartet's rise from one of underground music's most talked about names to one of the leading heavy music acts in the world. The program will make its premiere on Friday, July 1 at 9:00 PM EST.
On the topic of the special, Fuse states, "One of the most prominent names in metal — MASTODON — have been compared to METALLICA and RUSH, they've conquered the SLAYER tour, scored a spot on Ozzfest, and written a whole album about 'Moby Dick'. From 'whalecore' to wearing pink slippers in Japan, we take a look at the evolution of the mighty MASTODON from 2003 to now — 'cause 'Uranium' has been there from the start."
MASTODON's latest music video, "Blood and Thunder", is currently one of the most aired and requested heavy music videos in network rotation. The song is taken from the band's award-winning album "Leviathan". On tour now in Europe alongside IRON MAIDEN, MASTODON will play a special headlining gig at London's Astoria on July 11, before joining BLACK SABBATH, IRON MAIDEN, ROB ZOMBIE and others as part of the 2005 Ozzfest tour, which will launch on July 15 in Mansfield, MA.
